At FGL, we specialize in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and servicing of molds of all complexities. Our comprehensive services include custom precision machining, alterations and maintenance.

Working in partnership with custom molders and end users, our mold making and services offer a broad range of applications in the material handling, construction, medical, automotive and consumer goods industries. Applying the latest technology combined with a commitment to lean operations ensures our customers get the highest quality at the lowest cost. In business since 1965, we have built an unrivaled reputation and developed an unmatched expertise. Today, we service a global clientele and are viewed as industry leaders.

Our Facility

FGL is strategically located in close proximity to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport and within an hour of the US Border. FGL operates in a 52,000 sq. ft. purpose-built facility, comprised of 40,000 square ft. of manufacturing space. The facility houses a comprehensive range of fully integrated CNC equipment to manufacture complex and highly specialized molds. The Design and Engineering department is also located on premises using advanced industry design and modelling software. FGL employs a highly skilled and experienced team of Project Managers, Designers, Mold Makers and Machinists.

Our History

1965: A Family Business Is Born

FGL was founded by three brothers, Frank, George and Leslie (FGL) Meisels.

1980’s: First Mold Sales Outside of North America

FGL’s longstanding reputation in the industry led to the Company’s first sale outside of North America. FGL has since continued to expand globally, and now has clients in 6 continents.

1990’s: FGL Builds the World’s Largest Mold

Mold with dimensions of 170” x 100” and weighing in excess of 90,000lb.

1999: Acquisitions of KNT Precision Works

FGL acquired KNT to expand its capabilities to include smaller molds and detailed machining to offer a comprehensive suite of services to its customers.

2016: FGL Celebrates 50 Years

FGL’s reputation has been proudly built and cultivated over the past 50 years. Looking to the future FGL looks continue to grow and expand in the mold making industry while delivering the highest quality precision molds to its customers.
